TVE Parade Traffic Routing

LIBERTY, October 17, 2016 – Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday 10/19/2016 until completion of TVE Parade Main St. in the City of Liberty will be closed.  The closure will extend from the intersection of Main and Jefferson (intersection in front of Brookshire Bros.) to the intersection of MLK and Main (just south of RxR tracks).
Liberty Police would like to encourage those of you who will be attending the parade or participating in the parade to arrive early to prevent confusion.
Parade Route
The start of the Parade will start on Main St. in front of the City of Liberty Service Center.  The parade entries are expected to extend on Main to the intersection of Main and Jefferson.
The Parade Route will travel south on Main to the downtown area where it will turn right on Sam Houston, go one block and turn right onto Travis going between City Hall and Courthouse.  The route will continue to Grand St. where it will turn left and end up at the football stadium.
Traffic Routes
Those traveling south on Hwy 146 coming in from the north side of Liberty will be directed south on the Hwy 146 Bypass.  There will be officers at this intersection and parade participants will be allowed through to Main St.  Those vehicles can go south on the Bypass to Hwy 90.
Those wishing to travel north on Hwy 146 will be asked to travel Hwy 90 east to the Hwy 146 bypass, turn left (north) and take the bypass to Hwy 146.
Back Street Routes
Those on east side of Main St. will be able to take San Jacinto to Grand then Grand to Lakeland Dr.   Traffic will be able to flow both directions on this route.
Those on the West side of Main St. will be able to take Jefferson to N. Travis turn left, go to Edgewood St., turn right, travel to Bowie, turn left and travel to Hwy 90.  This route will be able to flow in both directions.
