Woman Arrested with Meth
LIBERTY, November 12, 2016 – On November 9, 2016 at approximately 10:40 PM, an Officer with the Liberty Police Department observed a tan SUV stopped at a red light and the driver tossed a cigarette out of the driver side window. The vehicle then made a wide turn and crossed over the white lane line of the lane. The Officer then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver.
The Officer had information that the vehicle was possibly involved in illegal narcotic activity prior to the stop outside the city.
During the search of the driver's purse that was located in the center console, Officers located the driver's identification as well as a zip up bag. Inside the zip up bag was a glass pipe, commonly used to smoke narcotics. Also in the zip up bag was a metal container that contained a blue plastic bag. Inside the blue bag was a crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Officer's also located a second purse in the back seat that belonged to the passenger of the vehicle. The Officers located a glass pipe in the purse and a citation was issued to the passenger.
Satterwhite was placed under arrest, charges with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
Satterwhite’s bond was set at $10,000 dollars.
