LIBERTY, November 11, 2016 – On November 9, 2016 at 2:19 AM, an Officer with the Liberty PD was patrolling the area of 1900 block Hwy 90 when he observed a white in color passenger car driving west bound on Hwy 90 with a headlight out.

The Officer then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for the defective lighting equipment. The Officer made contact with the driver and passenger inside of the vehicle. The Officer then identified the driver as Rapp Rashard Robinson age 38 of Liberty.

While the Officer was speaking with the driver he could see signs that the subject was nervous when speaking with the Officer. The Officer then asked the driver if there was anything in the vehicle that he should know about. The driver stated no and the Officer then asked he could conduct a search of the vehicle. The driver stated yes to the Officer.

The Officer then conducted a search of the vehicle and the Officer located a small black bag tuck under the driver steering column. The Officer observed the black bag to have writing in red letters that stated not for human consumption.  The Officer then opened the black bag and observed inside of it to be synthetic marijuana.

Robinson was then taken into custody, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Robinson’s bond was set at $1,500 dollars.
