Radio Blog Propaganda
LIBERTY, August 30, 2016 – Attempting to justify and explain the slow response time of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department to calls for service, Liberty’s Radio Blog sites two reasons.
First the size of the county in terms of geography and an increased number of calls due to population increase.
Well, the size of the county hasn’t changed in decades and the slow growth of Liberty County’s size as reported by the US Census bureau has been incremental for decades as well.
So what’s changed in recent times. Not size or population except for limited increases.
What has changed is the management at the Sheriff’s Department under Sheriff Bobby Rader.
When Rader took office he immediately assigned FIVE full time deputies to drug interdiction on Interstate 59 in Cleveland which benefits no one in Liberty County and just Fights the drug war in places like Arkansas. With this reduction of deputies answering calls for service it’s no wonder the response time of calls suffer.
No previous Sheriff in Liberty County History has ever made such a descision because they knew the service to Liberty County residents would decline.
Want to know why it seems your calls for service go unanswered? The problem is one of management under Bobby Rader.
