Bicycle and Car Collide on North Main Street

LIBERTY, October 4, 2016 – Shortly before 4:00 PM on Tuesday and bicycle rider was struck on North Main Street near Marshall Street.

According to Officer Martinez of the City of Liberty Police Department, the bicycle was traveling south on North Main crossing the driveway into Computer Solutions when a back Dodge SUV did not notice the bike and pulled out of the parking lot and struck the rider.

The collision knocked the rider to the ground. However, the bike nor the car suffered significant damage.

City of Liberty EMS responded to the scene and transported the bike rider to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center in Liberty for evaluation.

The rider was a woman in her forties from Honduras who has been in the Liberty are for about nine years.
