LIBERTY, April 16, 2016 - SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING CHANCES FOR RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS BACK TO SOUTHEAST TEXAS STARTING LATE THIS WEEKEND. HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. STRONG OR SEVERE STORMS MAY BE POSSIBLE AS WELL.

A PERSISTENT EAST/SOUTHEAST FETCH WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS ALONG THE UPPER TEXAS COAST... POSSIBLY RESULTING IN COASTAL FLOODING ISSUES LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY. A HIGH RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ALONG GULF FACING BEACHES.

ANTICIPATED HEAVY RAINFALL MAY RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT RIVER FLOODING FOR HEADWATERS AND MAINSTEM REACHES ALONG THE BRAZOS... SAN JACINTO... AND TRINITY RIVERS BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.
