Entergy Power Update

SOUTHEAST TEXAS, April 18, 2016 - Entergy Texas, Inc. crews have restored more than 7,000 customers since the peak outage occurred at 3:30 a.m. this morning. At that time, some 9,400 customers were left without power after heavy rains, wind and lightning moved through Southeast Texas. The company has called in an additional 18 crews from outside utilities to help with restoration. They will be traveling to the more western areas we serve, areas that were hardest hit and where, in some places, flooding has created problems with getting equipment in to begin restoration. Hardest hit are areas in and around New Caney, Conroe, Cleveland and Navasota. As of noon today, New Caney had some 1,286 customers without power.

A reminder that real-time outage information is available to you through our View Outages feature. You can find it at entergytexas.com, where a link is posted just under the social media icons.
