Major Accident on US 90 at MLK
LIBERTY, January 24, 2016 - Around 1:15 PM on Sunday a major accident occurred on US 90 at MLK in front of the My Little Kitchen Restaurant in Liberty.
According to Officer Davilla a Chevy pickup was traveling East on US 90 in the turn lane when it attempted a left turn onto MLK pulling directly into the path of a West bound, white, Toyota sedan. The vehicle collided in the intersection and the pickup truck rolled over on its’ side.
The driver of the Toyota was Sherry Johnson age 54 of Humble and the driver of the pickup was Kaywood Stepp age 84 of Crosby.
Kaywood Stepp was entrapped in his overturned truck and the City of Liberty Fire Department extricated him from his vehicle.
Two people were transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center suffering from bumps and bruises.
Westbound lanes of US 90 were blocked during the investigation and clean up of this accident.
