Truck Crashes through Fence at Fairlawn Cemetery
LIBERTY, February 22, 2016 - Around 10:00 PM on Sunday night two fire trucks, two ambulances and the City of Liberty Police Department responded to a one-vehicle roll over accident on FM 563 at the Fairlawn Cemetery just south of the TVE.
According to Officer Cantu who investigated the accident a Ford F 150 crew cab pickup was traveling west on Loblolly and came to the intersection at FM 563. The dirver proceeded to make a left turn onto FM 563, over corrected left, then right, lost control and rolled over sliding through the fence at the Fairlawn Cemetery narrowly missing a utility pole.
There were six passengers in the vehicle, some in the bed of the truck all age 15 and under.
The driver Cameron Michael Beasley age 15 of Liberty, passengers Wesley Donald Scott, Dillon James Westbury and Kaylin Nicole Beasley were all transported to Liberty Dayton Regional Medical Center in Liberty by Liberty EMS.
Passengers Madison Cole and Kylie Beasley left the scene of the accident prior to the arrival of EMS and other emergency personnel.
According to Officer Cantu there was no insurance documentation found in the vehicle and the driver had no driver’s license as he is only 15 years old.
Citations are pending further investigation by the City of Liberty Police Department.
According to Officer Cantu the major contributing factor to this accident was speed and an inexperienced driver.
