Road Conditions Contributing Factor in Accident
LIBERTY, April 24, 2016 - Around 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoon a silver Mustang was traveling westbound in the 400 block of US 90 when it lost control on wet pavement and crossed into the eastbound lanes.
The Mustang collided with a Toyota Tundra pickup traveling eastbound on US 90 and the vehicles came to rest in the center of the roadway.
The driver of the Tundra was Kimberly Sumersill age 35 of Crosby and the Mustang was driven by Cameron Parker age 19 of Liberty.
According to investigating Officers on the scene the Mustang was traveling too fast for road conditions.
Liberty EMS responded to the scene to evaluate the occupants of the vehicles for injuries.
Citations in this accident are pending further investigation.
