Man Arrested for Theft from Sears

LIBERTY, May 5, 2015 – On January 26, 2015 the City of Liberty Police Department responded to a call in reference to a theft at the Sears Store in the 2300 block of North Main in Liberty.

Through investigation and surveillance tapes it was determined that Steven Michael Wells age 54 had gone into the Sears Store picked up three Craftsman Tools sets and left the store without paying for them.

On March 9, 2015 Judge Little issued a warrant for the arrest of Wells.

Wells was discovered in at the apartments in the 20 block of Cook Road in Liberty on April 29, 2015 and arrested.

Wells was charged with Theft of Property and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
