Suspects in Robbery Identified
LIBERTY, September 3, 2015 - On July 29, 2015 at approximately 6:00 pm Liberty Police Department received multiple calls in reference to a robbery at the ATM at Wells Fargo Bank located in the 2300 block of North Main. While officers were in route to the call the dispatchers received more calls in reference to a robbery at Cash America Pawn located in the 2400 block of Magnolia.
On August 25, 2015 Liberty Police Department received a tip from Crime Stoppers and followed up on the information. Investigators were able to identify two of the suspects in the robbery as Brian Keith Smith (Black Male 21 years old) and Deuante Dewayne Johnson (Black Male 22 years old) both from Houston, Texas. Investigators were able to recover most of the jewelry that was stolen during the robbery. Judge Stephen Hebert issued an arrest warrant for Brian Smith and Deuante Johnson on August 26, 2015 for Aggravated Robbery and investigators have been actively looking for them in the Houston Area.
