Cocaine & Meth Arrest
LIBERTY, December 10, 2015 – On Friday, December 4, 2015 the Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit was patrolling the Raywood area and at approximately 3:25pm initiated a traffic stop on a gold 1998 Buick in the 2200 block of FM 770 neat Raywood for multiple traffic violations. The driver was identified as Anderson Carlton Searles 111 DOB 7-5-1977.
Deputies noticed several open alcoholic beverage containers inside the vehicle and during this stop, Searles became increasingly defiant towards the deputies and was subsequently detained with handcuffs. The Deputies conducted a “pat down” for weapons for Officer safety and upon doing so, deputies noticed a blue plastic Mentos chewing gum container fall from Searles pant leg. When deputies attempted to pick up the container, Searles kicked the container under the vehicle and became even more belligerent.
The container was recovered and deputies located multiple pieces of suspected “Crack Cocaine” and multiple bags of suspected “Crystal Meth”.
Deputies later reported that on Tuesday, December 7th. Searles accepted a guilty plea through the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office of five (5) years in TDC.
