The Annual Bazaar is a much-anticipated event mainly because of the musical entertainment. DJ Fresh will kickoff the festivities on Saturday, August 1 at 5 p.m., followed by Chris Ardoin and NuStep Zydeko, who will take the stage from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Ardoin is one of the artists that helped form nouveau zydeco, a new style of music that fused traditional zydeco with various styles including hip-hop, reggae and R&B. The music continues on Sunday, August 2 as Raywood's own DJ Stelly keeps things hopping from noon to 4 p.m. Then, get ready to jam with Pee Wee and the Too Laid Back Band who will be performing, for FREE, from 4 to 8 p.m. The Band's sound is intense, hip and hypnotic... from the classic soul of the 60s, the old school jams of the 70s, R&B classics, new school with a dash of Hip Hop and yes… down home Blues to Southern Soul.
There's so much more to experience on Sunday. Everyone looks forward to spending time with friends and neighbors during this family fun day. There will be a special area with bounce house and games to keep the kids amused.
