Murder on CR 430, Liberty County

DAYTON, November 2, 2015 - A family confrontation between Preston William Repman, age 24 and his Grand Father, Melvin James Linck, age 66 at their residence on CR 430 in south Liberty County resulted in the stabbing death of Melvin Linck by his Grand Son, Repman.

According to Liberty County Sheriff’s lead investigator Sgt. Josh Cummins, Preston Repman has been living at his grand parents home but around 7:30pm last night an argument began between the two men when Mr. Linck demanded that Repman move from his home.

Sgt. Cummins said that at some point during the argument, Repman grabbed a steak knife and stabbed his Grand Father in the left upper chest area. Melvin Linck was pronounced deceased at the scene by Pct. 4, Justice of the Peace Judge Larry Wilburn who ordered an autopsy.

Preston William Repman, Age 24 was arrested at the scene, charged with Murder and placed in the Liberty County jail on that charge.
