Felony Drug Arrest in Ames

AMES, July 20, 2015 - After receiving several complaints from local citizens regarding what they suspected as being a rather large drug operation at 103 Baker Circle in Ames, Texas, the Liberty County Sheriff’s Criminal Interdiction Unit began a surveillance and undercover investigation that extended over a period of time and resulted in the arrest of Triston Riley of that address for drug charges and other related offenses.

On Thursday, July 16, 2015, the Deputies of the Interdiction Unit obtained a search warrant that was signed by the Honorable Judge Mark Morefield, Liberty County 75th. District Court for the residence on Baker Circle.   At the time of the execution of the search warrant there were seven (7) people in the yard outside the home and six (6) people within the house.

During the search of the residence, Deputies recovered two (2) handguns one of which was reported as stolen by the Nederland Police Department. Also found in the search were approximately 4.7 grams of Crack Cocaine, 4.4 grams of Methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of powder Cocaine and 57 grams of PCP.

Triston Riley, age 23 and DOB of 02-17-92 of 103 Baker Circle, Ames, Texas was charged with two counts of Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Theft of a firearm. In addition, Riley was wanted and arrested on six (6) outstanding misdemeanor warrants from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Bobby Rader wanted to point to this particular case when he commented, “...I want to thank the Daisetta Police Department and the Liberty County District Attorney Gang Investigator for their help in this case..."
