Wanted Subject Evades Deputies
LIBERTY, February 5, 2015 - Early this morning, February 5, 2015 at approximately 2:50am, Deputies Ranson Martel and John Mendoza conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 90 East on the Trinity River Bridge in the city of Liberty, Texas. The vehicle was identified as a white 1997 Infinity, 4 door passenger car. Deputy Martel approached the driver of the vehicle who identified himself as Alvin Nelton, white male with a date of birth of January 25, 1992 of Devers, Texas. The driver further said that he was from Louisiana but gave an address of P.O. Box 216 in Devers.
Deputy Martel recognized the driver as Kevin Wayne Nobles, white male with a birth date of February 8, 1990. The Deputy also knew that Nobles was wanted on an outstanding bond forfeiture warrant on a theft case by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at which time Deputy Martel and Mendoza ask Nobles to exit his vehicle. Nobles then placed the vehicle into “drive” and sped away from the scene.
During the high speed pursuit, Nobles turned southbound on FM 770 in Raywood, Texas. The chase continued east bound onto CR 117 where Kevin Nobles lost control of his vehicle and rolled it over. As Deputies approached the vehicle, Nobles exited the driver’s side window and, once again, evaded the Deputies on foot southbound into a wooded area where he swam across a canal and ran deeper into the woods. Deputies terminated the foot chase at that point.
Kevin Wayne Nobles is described as a white male, 6’-0”, blond medium length hair, blue eyes with multiple tattoos on both arms and neck. Nobles has an address of 505 Chism Street in the City of Devers. He is also known to be in the Dayton area on Sawmill Road ( CR 605) and the subdivision of Dayton Oaks off SH 321.
Anyone having information on the whereabouts of Kevin Wayne Nobles is ask to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 and provide that information to Investigators as Nobles is now facing multiple other charges as well as the original warrant.
