LIBERTY, May 19, 2015 - Flood Warning FLOOD STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON, TX 303 PM CDT MON MAY 18 2015

A river flood warning remains in effect for the Trinity River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.


303 PM CDT MON MAY 18 2015

The Flood Warning continues for
The Trinity River in Liberty
* until further notice...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 2 PM Monday the stage was 28.1 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to continue rising to near 28.5 feet by early
Friday morning with additional rises possible thereafter.
* At 27.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding begins as roads into several
subdivisions above Liberty closed with residents in 5 or 6 subdivision cut off
if not evacuated.
