Warrant for Theft Served

LIBERTY, March 23, 2015 - On December 2, 2014 City of Liberty Police responded to the Family Dollar Store for a theft that had occurred on November 17, 2014. Two females had walked out of the store without paying for merchandise.

The females were identified as Lashunda Melonson and  Bobbie Cole.

Investigation by Police determined that Melonson had taken a jacket and gloves with a value of $14.00 and Cole had taken video games valued at $40.00 dollars.

On March 9, 2015 Judge Mike Little issued a warrant for Cole and Melonson for Theft with two or more previous conviction.

On March 18, 2015 Melonson’s arrest warrant was served and Cole remains at large with a warrant for her arrest.

Melonson has an extensive criminal history in Liberty County.
