Man and Woman Arrested for Credit Card Abuse
LIBERTY, August 4, 2015 – On July 30, 2015 at 11:24 AM, an Officer with the City of Liberty Police Department was dispatched to 1902 N. Main in reference to credit card and debit card abuse.
Upon arrival the Officer spoke to the complainant and was advised that her wallet was stolen ouf of her vehicle last night while parked at her residence. The complainant said that she did not lock the vehicle doors.
The complainant said that she contacted the credit card holders and found that her cards had been used on July 30, 2015 at the Deluxe Inn, Wal-Mart and the Chevron.
The officer went to the Deluxe Inn and spoke to the manager and was give the motel receipt and a copy of the drivers license of the person that rented the room.
The Officer was told byi the manager that the person renting the room was still in the room.
The Officer made contact with the two occupants of the room, Christopher McCall age 29 and Crystal Boyd age 27.
Both McCall and Boyd were arrested, charged with Credit Card Abuse and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
