Rundell Hall’s Grand Reopening

BAYTOWN, February 4, 2015 - Rundell Hall’s grand reopening will include an open house 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Lee College invites the community to explore the newly renovated Rundell Hall during a grand reopening event set for Wednesday, Feb. 4, that will include a ribbon-cutting and open house.

The open house will be held from 4-8 p.m., giving guests the opportunity to tour Rundell Hall at their leisure. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.

Rundell Hall Originally opened in 1951, historic Rundell Hall was one of the first buildings constructed when Lee College established its own campus in Baytown. Old age caused mechanical disrepair that closed the building in 2006, but local voters overwhelmingly approved a $40 million college bond issue in 2013 that included $9.9 million for an extensive Rundell renovation.

Renovations were completed in time for the start of the spring 2015 semester, and Rundell Hall is now a convenient one-stop shop for essential student services. Offices for general campus information, admissions and registration, counseling and advising, financial aid, disability services, the Veterans Center and the Student Success Center are located on the first floor of the building, with administrative offices and the Testing Center on the second floor.
