Child Porn Suspect Pleads Guilty

EAST MONTGOMERY COUNTY, July 8, 2015 - A Porter man arrested in 2013, following an investigation by the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office and assisting agencies, now faces up to 40 years in prison.
Kenneth Ray Ferguson, 39, pleaded guilty last week to four counts of Possession of Child Pornography in the 359th District Court of Judge Kathleen Hamilton in Conroe. Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, a jury returned a sentence of 10 years per count.

Ferguson was downloading and sharing child pornography online from his apartment on FM 1314 in Porter. On October 10, 2013, members of the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office converge on Ferguson’s apartment, along with members of the Montgomery County Pct. 3 and Pct. 5 Constable’s Offices, and the Conroe Police Department. They were also assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The findings of their investigation were confirmed when they located pornographic videos of children engaging in sexual conduct. Ferguson admitted to investigators he downloaded the videos. A Montgomery County grand jury returned an indictment on June 18, 2015.
Despite entering a guilty plea, Ferguson hired a Houston based defense attorney and requested sentencing by jury. With 10 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for each of four second-degree felony charges, he could face a maximum of 40 years, or a maximum of 10 years. Judge Hamilton will decide Friday whether the sentences will run concurrently.
