Erratic Driver Arrested

LIBERTY, February 20, 2015 - On February 17, 2015 around 5:00 PM City of Liberty Police Officers were dispatched to locate a gold SUV that was not able to maintain a single lane of traffic. The SUV was located in the 2300 block of North Main.

A marked unit made the traffic stop on the SUV and made contact with the driver, Angela Edmonds age 42. The officer detected the strong odor of a burnt substance and in the ash tray was a burnt pipe with drug residue in it.

Edmonds stated there was legal weed in the vehicle. In the subsequent search of the vehicle two packages of synthetic Marijuana also known as Kush were found.

Angela Edmonds was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
