Man Arrested for Theft of Copper Wire

LIBERTY, May 27, 2015 - On May 20, 2015 the City of Liberty received a call about the theft of copper wire in the South Liberty Oilfield.

Officers responded and found that about 1,000 feet of copper wire had been taken from an Entergy power pole that provided power to a couple of homes.

After investigation a suspect was determined and a warrant was issued by Judge Mike Little for theft. That warrant was served the same day.

John Paul Duff age 45 was arrested and the warrant was served. He was transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Bond was set at $20,000.
