Community Sign Destroyed

MOSS BLUFF, November 6, 2015 - The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Wednesday, November 4th. regarding a damaged community sign on CR 1333 in the Lake Granada Sub-Division in mid-Liberty County. According to a Board Member of the Civic Association in that community, a public information sign measuring approximately 4’ X 8’ and supported by 4” X 4”s set in concrete was evidently deliberately knocked down by a large vehicle and destroyed.

According to the Board member, there has been damage to this sign before in the form of it being shot with a shot gun and later someone set fire to the sign. However, this time the sign, valued at approximately $1,000, was totally destroyed.

Anyone having information as to the person or persons responsible for this damage
Is ask to call the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500. The Lake Granada Civic Association is also offering a $500. reward leading to the arrest of the subject(s) responsible for this criminal act.
