DAYTON, March 19, 2015 - On Thursday March, 19th 2015 the Liberty County Precinct 2 and Liberty County Precinct 4 Constable’s Offices concluded a multi-target narcotics investigation at two residences located in areas of Ames, Texas. The first suspect location was at 505 North Martin Luther King Drive and the second suspect location was at 225 Malcom X Street.
Two search warrants, issued by Liberty County 253rd Judicial District Judge Chap Cain, were executed simultaneously by officers from Liberty County Precinct 1, Precinct 2, Precinct 3, Precinct 4, Precinct 5 and Precinct 6 Constable’s Offices, along with officers from the Daisetta Police Department, Dayton Police Department, the Liberty County District Attorney’s Office and the Liberty County EMS Tactical Medic Team.
Upon executing both search warrants, both scenes were searched which resulted in the seizure of a small amount of crack cocaine, a small amount of liquid codeine, approximately 81 grams of Lorazepam (Xanax), 74 grams of Marihuana and digital scales.
This investigation was the result of a joint effort with the Liberty County Precinct 2 and Liberty County Precinct 4 Constable’s Offices who conducted many hours of surveillance in these areas, along with sharing narcotics intelligence gathered by both agencies.
The investigation yielded enough probable cause to secure search warrants at both locations. The investigation revealed that both locations were working in unison, trafficking narcotics in the Ames area.
