Mismanagement Continues at LCSO
LIBERTY, March 24, 2015 - The management of Comp Time and Flex Time at the LCSO has been the subject of articles and a Department of Labor investigation recently but even with those steps taken it remains an even worse problem at the Sheriff’s Department because Bobby Rader refused to do anything about it.
Today County Commissioners approved the payoff of one Sheriff’s Department employee, Michael Nugent, that was leaving the department. His payoff was $18,317.12.
His combined Comp Time and Flex Time was $10,284.56.
These large sums in payoffs when someone leaves the department is due to poor management by Sheriff Bobby Rader and is not funded in the Sheriff’s Department budget anywhere.
People became aware of Rader’s management problem in November of last year when Christopher Wolf received $13,431.66 in his payoff when he left the department and the problem now is only worse than it was then.
