Tragic Accident Takes Life of Dayton High School Graduate

BAYTOWN April 20, 2015 - At 1:57 AM on April 19, 2015 DPS Troopers from Chambers County responded to an accident on I-10 at the 798 mile marker.

A Ford F-350 pickup with Clyde Christ and his son Jeremy Christ age 26 stopped to help a disable motorist who had a flat tire on the eastbound shoulder of the freeway.

While assisting with getting the jack and spare out of the vehicle Jubini Avalos age 31 of Pasadena struck the two cars as well as Clyde and Jeremy Christ.

Jeremy Christ was killed in the accident.

Jubini Avalos was arrested and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and five counts of Intoxication Assault. The total amount of his bonds is $200,000 dollars.

There were a total of 11 people including the passengers in the three vehicles involved in this accident.

Several of the injured were transported to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital and Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The deceased, Jeremy Christ, was a graduate of Dayton High School.
