Man Arrested at Wal-Mart for Theft

LIBERTY, January 12, 2015 - On November 12, 2013 employees at Wal-Mart summoned the Liberty Police to the store for a man who had concealed items on his person and fled from the store into the wooded area behind the store.

The man had taken a flash light, radar detector, a knife, pellets, a pistol and a fishing real valued at $329.59.

On March 20, 2014 Judge Little issued a warrant for the arrest of Jerry Carter age 58.

Carter was observed at the Wal-Mart on January 10, 2015 and was arrested, charged with Organized Retail Theft and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
