Man Charged with Cruelty to Animals

DAYTON, December 10, 2015  - On November 19, 2015 at 2:40 PM James Alford Bryan from Chambers County came to the Dayton Police Department with a dog he claimed he had picked up in Dayton pretending to be getting the dog some help.

Dayton Officer used a chip-reading device to see if the dog was chipped and determine who the dog’s owner was.

It turned out that the dog belonged to James Alford Bryan and was not a stray.

Officer called Bryan back to the police department and charged him with Cruelty to Non-Livestock Animal for abandoning the dog transporting him to the Liberty County Jail.
