Community Planning Meeting

LIBERTY, September 8, 2015 - On Thursday September 24th at 10 am, there will be a Criminal Justice Community Planning Meeting held in the Jack Hartel Liberty County Shelter Building.  The purpose of this meeting is to update our current community plan, which identifies gaps in services in the criminal justice system within Liberty County.  Government agencies or non-profits can then apply to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office for funds that can be used to close these gaps.

Who should attend the meeting?
Anyone who has an interest in making our community safer:

  • Law Enforcement Officials
  • Juvenile Organizations
  • School District Officials
  • Non-Profit Agencies
  • Probation Department Employees
  • Faith-Based Organizations
  • Concerned Citizens
  • Victims’ Assistance Agencies

What is the benefit to Liberty County?

For more information, contact:
Tom Branch
 County Coordinator

All applications made to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor’s Office must tie in to a community plan.  Greater involvement by our citizens will translate to a more comprehensive plan, which strengthens applications requesting dollars to close identified gaps.
