Trinity River Status

LIBERTY, June 29, 2015 - On June 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM the release at the Lake Livingston Dam has been reduced to 32,800 cubic feet per second and with that reduction,conditions along the Trinity River are rapidly improving.

The Trinity River level at Liberty is 28.24 ( 2.2 feet above flood stage) and at Moss Bluff the reading is 14.11 ( slightly less than 2 feet above flood stage)

The Red Cross Shelters are all closing as of tomorrow and residents in these shelters that were eligible to receive temporary housing benefits have been provided temporary rental assistance funding.

There have been over 400 people register for FEMA assistance and any affected residents that have not registered are advised to call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362.

Conditions will continue to improve and county officials will meet with state and federal officials on Thursday to review the reimbursement process related to damaged infrastructure such as roads, bridges and government owned facilities.
