Trinity River Status

LIBERTY, June 26, 2015 - On Friday June 26th at 2:00 PM the current release from the Lake Livingston Dam is 39,400 cubic feet per second and the Lake is at 131.25 feet, which is slightly above the normal pool level of 131 feet.

Trinity River levels have finally started to drop in Liberty County and the current stages are:

Romayor well below flood stage at 31.33

Liberty continues in major flood stage at 29.27

Moss Bluff remains in major flood stage at 14.44


There have been over 400 residents file claims with FEMA and the shelter in Liberty is housing 56 people,however,FEMA assistance is starting to arrive for those residents in the form of temporary housing funds.

We are hoping to get the shelter closed soon as most sub-division roads should be open by early next week, based on current projections.

Residents wanting to report damages to FEMA should register by calling 1-800-621-3362.
