Trinity River Status
LIBERTY June 22, 2015 - On June 22nd at 4:00 PM the Discharge rate at the Lake Livingston Dam REMAINS at 68,200 cubic feet per second and the lake is at 132 feet, or 1 foot above normal pool level.
The Trinity River remains in flood stage and will likely be near the current readings for the remainder of this week.
Level at Romayor is 36.9,
Liberty is at 29.6 ( 3.6 feet above flood stage )
Moss Bluff is at 14.6 ( 2.4 feet above flood stage )
The Red Cross continues to operate two shelters, one in Liberty and one in Cleveland.
The Liberty shelter, located at 318 San Jacinto Street had 56 residents spend the night at the facility on Sunday night.
The Cleveland shelter,located at Calvary Baptist Church, 816 North Blair, had an occupancy of 8 on Sunday night.
Residents are welcome at both shelters,however,the shelter in Cleveland has more space at the moment so if you are wanting to leave your flooded subdivision,consider moving to the location in Cleveland.
Residents wanting to evacuate their homes are ask to do so in daylight hours and if you need assistance, please call the non-emergency number for the Liberty County Sheriffs Department, 936-336-4500 ext. 0.
Residents should continue to register with FEMA if they suffered damages from the flood. The number to call is 1-800-621-3362. FEMA inspectors are already contacting some residents that pre-registered so please register as soon as possible.
