Bomb Threat at Courthouse and FLNB
LIBERTY, April 16, 2015 – Shortly after 1:00 PM today a male caller called the Liberty County Clerk’s Office and told them there was a bomb in the Courthouse.
The building was evacuated and county employees went home.
A short time later a caller called the First Liberty National Bank a told them there was a bomb in their building. The Dayton Financial Center in Dayton also received a bomb threat at 1:22 PM.
City of Liberty Police assisted by the Sheriff’s Department cleared the bank building and the bank reopened for business. Dayton Police Department cleared the bank in Dayton.
At 3:45 PM authorities were still busy clearing the Courthouse and streets around the Courthouse were still closed.
