Hardin Man Arrested for Sale of Drugs
HARDIN, September 8, 2014 – On Thursday 09/04/2014 the Liberty County Precinct 4 Constables Office concluded a narcotics investigation in the Knight’s Forest Subdivision in Hardin, with the assistance of Liberty County Precinct 3 Constables Office and Liberty County Precinct 2 Constables Office.
Constable Thornton reports that tips gathered from the community led investigators to a suspect identified as 35 year old John Zacharias Vestal of 151 County Road 2503 in Hardin, Texas who was reportedly selling methamphetamine in the Hardin area.
The investigation resulted with Vestal being charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1(Methamphetamine), greater than or equal to 1 gram but less than 4 grams which is a 2nd Degree Felony.
“As we continue to conduct these narcotic investigations, it has come very apparent that Methamphetamine trafficking is a County wide problem which must be addressed in a collective effort in order to be effective,” said Liberty County Precinct 4 Constable Robby Thornton.
“The continued assistance from citizens in the community and area law enforcement agencies coming together resulted in the conclusion of this successful investigation,” added Constable Thornton.
Constable Thornton urges all citizens of Liberty County to report any information regarding narcotic trafficking to law enforcement immediately and reminds them to be patient as these investigations tend to take a considerable amount of time.
