Woman Arrested for Shoplifting Beauty Items at Wal-Mart

LIBERTY, December 29, 2014 - On December 28, 2014 around 3:45 PM the City of Liberty Police Department received a call from Wal-Mart in reference to a shop lifter.

According to store employees, a woman, identified as Britteny Nicole Thain, walked around the store acting strangely piking up and concealing items in a bag and on her person.

Thain went to a register that was closed at the time and failed to pay for the items she selected and exited the store. She was confronted by store employees and returned inside the store.

The items Thain failed to pay for included clothing, a tooth brush, brush set, make up, sunglasses and body wash. The total amount of those items was $229.12.

Thain was arrested, charged with Organized Retail Theft and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
