SpiritHorse of Liberty

LIBERTY, April 16, 2014 – A trip back to an earlier time was taken as the Life Skills class from Liberty High School took a field trip to SpiritHorse Liberty April 16.

In preparation for riding, all the students brushed their horse. After tacking and mounting up, giggles and cowboy whoops were heard as the riders traveled back to the cowboy days in their minds. They were the sheriff riding with deputies.

They were the kids free of chores riding across the prairie on a sunny day. Excitement filled the air. A picnic lunch was even enjoyed. Each rider made and took with them a "wing" necklace or bracelet to remember their day at SpiritHorse Liberty.

Four "Best Buddies", three teachers and paraprofessionals, one student teacher, a bus driver, SpiritHorse instructors, four new SpiritHorse volunteers, and two SpiritHorse wranglers helped to make this a memorable day for everyone.
