Woman Arrested for DWI with Three Child Passengers
LIBERTY, May 28, 2014 - Around 10:40 PM on Tuesday night an off duty City of Liberty Police Officer going home for the day notified the department of a red SUV that was driving all over the road and had made an unsafe U-turn in the roadway.
The SUV turned into the convenience store at Myrtle and Main Street in Liberty.
Officer Frank Longoria responded to investigate the call and located the driver, Fiona Regina Simmons age 22 of Pasadena.
After attempting to conduct field sobriety test it was determined the driver was too intoxicated to complete the test and taken into custody for DWI with Child Passenger times three because the woman had three child passengers and two adult passengers with her. This will result in three felony charges.
Officer Longoria stated that he could smell no alcohol but found an empty pill bottle in the vehicle whose label had been removed.
The three child passengers were ages 1 month, 16 months and six years old.
The two adult passengers were Ronnie Parker DeBlanc age 23 of Ames and Jessica Ann Reodriguez age 30 of Pasadena. Both were taken into custody, charged with Public Intoxication and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
The driver of the vehicle was also taken into custody and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
