Home Robbery on FM 787
CLEVELAND, August 24, 2014 - At approximately 10:pm last night, August 22nd, Liberty County Sheriff’s Deputy Steve Rasberry was in route to a call and stopped at a stop sign on CR 2343 when a male subject ran up to his patrol unit yelling for help and saying that his mother had just been beaten and robbed at their residence on FM 787. Dep. Rasberry immediately went to the residence and found the victim, Theresa Graff at the front of her home bleeding from head injuries. Liberty County EMS responded to the scene and later transported Ms. Graff to a Conroe Hospital in what was thought to be “stable” condition.
According to Deputy Rasberry, Ms. Graff is the owner of a business in the City of Cleveland and had just gotten home when two unknown suspects barged into her home through the back door. Both suspects were armed with hand guns and a taser and were dressed in all black clothing and wearing black mask. They demanded money from the victim and when she hesitated and attempted to resist, she was chocked, beaten and “tazed” several times. After several minutes, the suspects grabbed a money bag containing an undetermined amount of money a fled the home on foot.
The suspects were described as white males that were “tall, strong and vulgar” as the victim was cursed and beaten when she tried to resist the suspects.
