Radio Shack Burglar Gets Twenty Years

LIBERTY, February 11, 2014 - Today in the 75th District Court one of four individuals who was responsible for the burglary of the Radio Shack Store in Liberty in August 2012, was sentenced to twenty years in prison for his part in the burglary.

You many recall that the late in the evening on August 16th four individuals were alleged to have burglarized the Radio Shack Store located in the Wal-Mart Shopping Center in Liberty and all were apprehended as the result of a man hunt that lasted throughout the night until around 7:00 AM the following morning.

One of those individuals was Donovan Edmund who was arrested in the Trinity River Bottom between Liberty and Dayton walking toward Houston along with Marcelius Boutte.

The jury found Edmund guilty of this crime and 75th District Court Judge Mark Moorefield sentenced him to 20 years in prison due to the fact Edmond had five previous convictions and other factors which enhanced his crime to a Second Degree Felony.
