Wal-Mart Suffers Theft of Televisions and Pellet Rifle

LIBERTY, February 18, 2014 - On January 15, 2014 an unknown male gathered a pellet rifle, two 32” televisions with sound bars in a shopping cart at Wal-Mart and pushed them out of the fire exit without paying for them. The merchandise was valued at $952.00.

Officers with the City of Liberty Police Department were summoned to the store and reviewed video surveillance tapes. The next day, having identified the man from the tapes a warrant for Organized Retail Theft was issued for Kalley Texshawn Peacock age 27 of Dickinson, TX.

Law Enforcement in Galveston County apprehended Kalley and transported him to the Galveston County Jail and City of Liberty Police went to the jail in Texas City, picked Kalley up and brought him back to Liberty on February 11, 2014.
