Prescription Medications Discovered During Traffic Stop

LIBERTY, February 18, 2014 - On February 11, 2014 City of Liberty Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Bowie and US 90 on a vehicle that stopped past the designated stopping point at 4:18 in the morning.

According to Investigator Jennifer Bowles, as Officers approached the Ford truck they observed the odor of marijuana.

After asking permission to search the vehicle Officers found prescription bottles with the prescription labels removed containing Xanax and Hydrocodone tablets that were not prescribed for the driver and only occupant of the vehicle Larisa Parga age 30 of Liberty.

Parga was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
