Traffic Stop Yields Two Drug Arrests
LIBERTY, March 16, 2014 - Officer Frank Longoria of the City of Liberty Police Department conducted a traffic stop assisted by Officers Walter and Rosas around 1:22 AM on Saturday morning on US 90 near Georgia Street.
According to Officer Longoria the driver was found to have methamphetamine in a plastic bag in a Dr. Pepper bottle and no Driver’s License.
The passenger, Shonne Marvette Paduano, originally gave a fake name and was found to have numerous prescription pills in several containers for which there was no prescription.
Both the driver, Lorie Beth Swearangen age 27 of Conroe and the passenger, Shonne Marvette Paduano age 41 of Liberty were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Paduano was charged with Giving False Information and Possession of Dangerous Drugs.
Paduano’s 13-month old baby was in the vehicle and retrieved by the father of the baby who was summoned to the scene. Additionally CPS was notified of the situation and the involvement of the mother in drugs.
