Seven Charged in Local Narcotics Arrests

DAYTON, November 19, 2014 – Liberty County Precinct #4 Constable Robby Thornton has released the identities of 7 suspects who were investigated for drug trafficking in the Liberty County area after receiving numerous tips from the community and local area law enforcement agencies regarding the suspect’s alleged illegal activities.

  These investigations were conducted with the assistance of the Daisetta Police Department, Liberty County Precinct 2 Constables Office and the Dayton Police Department. 

Arrest warrants have already been issued for these 7 suspects who are charged with a total of 8 felony narcotic charges.

Two of these suspects, Jerad Wayne Boatman and Jennifer Michelle Whisenhunt, are currently free on bail.  Two of these suspects Christopher Matthew Bryant and Kenneth Wayne Roach Jr. are currently incarcerated and three remaining suspects, Anthony Lee Dorman, Michael Lynn Davis and Glenn Allen Shepherd, are currently at large.

 

 

39-year-old Jerad Wayne Boatman of 268 CR158 in Liberty, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, greater than or equal to 1 gram but less than 4 grams (Methamphetamine), a 2nd Degree Felony.  Boatman’s arrest warrant was served on 10/29/2014 and a bond of $30,000.00 was set upon his incarceration.  Boatman is currently out on bond pending court proceedings.

 

27-year-old Jennifer Michelle Whisenhunt of 268 CR158 in Liberty, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, greater than or equal to 1 gram but less than 4 grams (Methamphetamine), a 2nd Degree Felony.  Whisenhunt’s arrest warrant was served on 10/29/2014 and a bond of $30,000.00 was set upon her incarceration.  Whisenhunt is currently out on bond pending court proceedings.
   

40-year-old Christopher Matthew Bryant of 1880 CR190 in Raywood, Texs is charged with
2 counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 greater than or equal to 1 gram but less than 4 grams (Methamphetamine), a 2nd Degree Felony and Manufacture or Delivery of Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, greater than or equal to 4 grams but less than 200 grams (Methamphetamine), a 1st Degree Felony. Bryant’s arrest warrant was served on 10/29/2014 with a bond of $30,000.00 on the 2nd Degree Felony and $100,000 on the 2nd Degree Felony, both set upon his incarceration.  Bryant is currently in custody at the Liberty County Jail.


 

38-year-old Kenneth Wayne Roach Jr. of 104A Cyprus Street in Daisetta, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, Less Than One Gram (Methamphetamine), in a Drug Free Zone, a 3rd  Degree Felony. Roach’s arrest warrant was served on 10/29/2014 with a bond of $20,000.00 set upon his incarceration.  Roach is currently in custody at the Liberty County Jail.

 

24-year-old Anthony Lee Dorman of 104A Cyprus Street in Daisetta, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1, Less Than One Gram (Methamphetamine), in a Drug Free Zone, a 3rd  Degree Felony.  A warrant for Dorman's arrest has been issued via Liberty County Precinct #4 Justice of the Peace, however, as of 11/19/2014, Dorman remains at large. 43-year-old Michael Lynn Davis of 1512 Highway 90 in Liberty, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 Less Than One Gram (Cocaine), a State Jail Felony.  A warrant for Davis's arrest has been issued via Liberty County Precinct #4 Justice of the Peace, however, as of 11/19/2014, Davis remains at large.  If this person is located, please contact Liberty County Precinct #4 Constable's Office at 936-258-4711.

 

56-year-old Glenn Allen Shepherd of 501 Ross Street in Dayton, Texas is charged with one count of Manufacture or Delivery Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 Less Than One Gram (Cocaine), a State Jail Felony.  A warrant for Shepherd's arrest has been issued via Liberty County Precinct #4 Justice of the Peace, however, as of 11/19/2014, Shepherd remains at large. Constable Thornton stated “As we continue to conduct these narcotic investigations, it has come very apparent that narcotics’ trafficking is a County wide problem which must be addressed in a collective effort in order to be effective,” said Liberty County Precinct 4 Constable Robby Thornton. 

 

“The continued assistance from citizens in the community and area law enforcement agencies coming together resulted in the conclusion of these successful investigations,” added Constable Thornton.  

Constable Thornton urges all citizens of Liberty County to report any information regarding narcotic trafficking to law enforcement immediately and reminds them to be patient as these investigations tend to take a considerable amount of time.
