HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

LIBERTY, September 25, 2014 – THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE THURSDAY...FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. ACTIVITY WILL LIKELY BE WIDELY SCATTERED ALL THREE DAYS. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL. OVERALL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE HIGHER ALONG THE COAST. BUT SOME STORMS COULD PRODUCE A QUICK 1 INCH OF RAINFALL. THE FLOOD THREAT LOOKS TO BE SMALL AT THIS POINT EXCEPT FOR MAYBE SOME STREET FLOODING IN URBAN AREAS DUE TO THE LOCALIZED HEAVY RAIN. OTHERWISE HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK. WINDS MAY DECREASE BUT THE EASTERLY DIRECTION OF THE WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO HELP KEEP TIDES ELEVATED.
