Beautification Project at Extension Office

LIBERTY, March 23, 2014 - There was a workday at the Liberty County AgriLife Extension Office on Saturday, March 22nd. The old landscaping was dug up, and new landscaping of EarthKind roses was planted. The flower beds are bordered by flat river rock while the roof drip line was lined with round river rock to catch the moisture and water the xeriscaped beds.

The new Master Gardener Intern class, Liberty County 4H, and the Liberty County Probation department all took part. The project was funded in part by Precinct I.

Future projects include installation of rain barrels and low-tech solar panels.
