Two Arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to Minors

DAISETTA, September 10, 2014 - On Tuesday, 05/27/2014, Daisetta Police Officer Terry Cosgrove received a report of the purchasing or furnishing of an alcoholic beverage to a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old minor who allegedly engaged in a game of "quarters" with 35-year-old Lisa Ann Marlow of 203 Walnut Street in Daisetta and 23-year-old Anthony Lee Dorman of 104A Cypress Street also in Daisetta.

According to the report, Marlow and Dorman furnished R&R (Rich & Rare) Canadian Whiskey and a liquor known as Diesel which is 190 proof.

Once the game was concluded, Marlow, Dorman and the 18-year-old left the residence leaving the intoxicated 14-year-old to babysit three other younger children and a 35-year-old mentally handicapped female. No one returned for the remainder of the evening.

Officer Cosgrove conducted an interview with Marlow on 05/27/2014 who confirmed the account was true and accurate. The officer notified Child Protective Services of the incident.

On Tuesday, 06/03/2014, Officer Cosgrove presented probable cause affidavits to Liberty County Precinct #2 Justice of the Peace Ronnie Davis who issued warrants for the arrest of Marlow and Dorman charging them both with Purchasing or Furnishing an Alcoholic Beverage to a Minor, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On Tuesday, 06/10/2014, Officer Cosgrove observed Lisa Marlow traveling northbound in the 400 Block of Main Street in the City of Daisetta and effected a traffic stop in regard to an expired motor vehicle inspection certificate and the warrant for Purchasing or Furnishing an Alcoholic Beverage to a Minor.

Officer Cosgrove arrested Marlow and subsequently discovered two white rocklike substances, believed to be crack cocain, which were wrapped in a cashier's receipt and stored in Marlow's clothing. The suspected crack cocaine was seized as evidence, the vehicle was inventoried and Marlow was transported to the Liberty County Jail. The following day, Officer Cosgrove forwarded the suspected narcotics to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab in Houston, Texas for analysis to detect the presence of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, 06/25/2014, Officer Cosgrove located Anthony Dorman who was arrested in regard to the Purchasing or Furnishing an Alcoholic Beverage to a Minor warrant in the 100 Block of West Pine Street in the City of Daisetta and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

On Tuesday, 08/26/2014, Officer Cosgrove received confirmation from the Texas DPS Crime Lab that the evidence seized from Marlow and submitted to the lab did indeed contain cocaine. On Monday, 09/08/2014, Officer Cosgrove submitted a probable cause affidavit to Liberty County Precinct #2 Justice of the Peace Ronnie Davis who issued a warrant for the arrest of Lisa Ann Marlow charging her with the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram (cocaine), a State Jail Felony. On Tuesday, 09/09/2014, Officer Cosgrove located Marlow at her residence and served the arrest warrant. Marlow was transported to the Liberty County Jail.
