Public Bird Walks in Liberty - Oct 11, 2014

LIBERTY, October 2, 2014 - The public is invited to join the Lower Trinity Valley Bird Club on Saturday, Oct 11, 2014 for birding in Liberty Municipal Park and on the newly completed trails in the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge. We will have special bird walks for beginners and more advanced birders. The bird walks will leave the splash pad area at Park at 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Bring binoculars, shoes that can get muddy, and water (the bird club a few loaner binoculars). The LTVBC will be visiting other local sites throughout the day and any interested birders are invited to attend. The Park is located at the end of Cook street.

Birding is a fascinating and challenging hobby - it is inexpensive, easy to learn, and birds can be observed in your neighborhood, parks and wildlife refuges. Contact Gary Holmes, LTVBC president, (281) 576-0573 or Stuart Marcus, Refuge Manager, (936) 336-9786 for more information.
