Rose Mobile Mammography Van coming to Dayton Community Center
LIBERTY, April 10, 2014 – The Rose, a nonprofit breast health organization located in Houston, will bring one of its mobile mammography units to the Dayton Community Center to provide on-site mammograms for women on Thursday, April 24th.
Community Patient Navigator, Stephanie Wehring, who is The Rose liaison for Liberty County, is excited to bring this service to the community and encourages women to support one another, “bring your mom, sister, aunt, niece, daughter, neighbor, or friend and encourage each other to take time out for this important health screening.” There are a limited number of appointments, so don’t delay in making yours today! Insured patients help off-set the cost for uninsured patients so they are doing something good for themselves and another woman. If you are uninsured, you may qualify for a sponsored mammogram. The Rose also offers a reduced rate cash price.
You are eligible to be screened on the mobile unit if you:
- Are a female, age 35 or older
- Do not have any breast symptoms or problems
- Are not currently pregnant or nursing
- Have not been diagnosed with breast cancer within the past 2 years
- Have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months
